Why Spark Global?

We are living in an extraordinary time, catalyzed by huge system changes and innovations in power generation, technology, and global, human connection. As our friend and investor Deb Frieze explained so eloquently in her TedTalk: old systems are dying, new systems will emerge. But those spaces in between – the one we are in today - can be downright terrifying.

That space is also where great ideas and opportunities emerge to solve the problems that we face.

Spark Global is about finding and scaling solutions to the problems that matter. The climate and nature crisis, first and foremost. But we also care about health and wellbeing, access to good jobs, dignity, respect and fairness, and social connection. We tend to gravitate towards those innovations that touch people’s daily lives directly. 

We believe that together, we can build a better working world.

Spark Global was started by Susan Hunt Stevens to serve as the organizing entity for her various ventures. It's mission, and network of supporting team members, continues to expand to meet the challenge, and huge opportunities, of this time.
